Hello! Welcome!!! Just a little bit about me: I was born October 16, 1967 in a beautiful river valley in upstate NY. I now live in western North Carolina, nestled deep in the Appalachian mountains with my husband, and a very entertaining pack of dogs, cats, and chickens. We try to live a simple, mindful life and enjoy our garden, the mountain forests, a jaw dropping hike now and then, and getting together with our friends to play music. I also love a good yoga and music festival and work with a beautiful little event that is held annually in Floyd, Virginia called YogaJam.

I left my old life working in and around Washington DC about 7 years ago to uncover my authentic expression of this life, one that makes my heart happy and brings joy and healing to others. Let me tell you it was/is not easy! LOTS of muck to shovel out!!! It has led me to pursue my dreams of sharing the beautiful practices I have discovered over the years with others. These include meditation practice, yoga philosophy and traditions, and the teachings of the Buddha, especially those around compassion and love.

And of course, SONG! I just love to sing, and singing with others only increases the joy!

I truly believe that the world needs more compassionate hearts, less fearful and reactionary minds, and more awareness of our innate connection to each other and this planet. I know that by living this truth, I will be able to uncover my unique gifts and shine them out to do the most good for myself and others. I am often told that “I make it okay for people to be themselves” and I still hold that as my highest compliment and an ideal I strive for in every action. I hope to help others uncover their own gifts and encourage everyone I meet to practice kindness and compassion, starting with themselves.

Imagine all the people, living life in peace? I can. Join me and let’s shine together!
