Yoga is the integration of all of the parts of our authentic Self. It is a wellness program for body, mind, and spirit. Yoga is LOVE. Yoga is connection. It is my hope that the practices I share can help you find YOUR path to uncovering and LOVING your beautiful, inspired, unique, authentic YOU.
I aim to offer classes that are gentle and joyful to mind, body & spirit. But make no mistake, gentle does not always mean easy. Sometimes, sitting with the uncomfortable and distinguishing it from the unbearable helps us to grow and release our limiting beliefs and behavior patterns.
My classes offer a mix of connecting to your intention for your practice, through contemplation, journaling or perhaps small group discussion. I offer instruction and practice in seated insight meditation, breath work to reteach us the wisdom of our breath, and mindful poses and movement to explore the wisdom of our bodies. Sometimes, we will sing out loud.
No experience is required but a willing heart and open mind to see what is happening in your mind and body as we practice together.
The basic props we will use are a mat, some blocks, a bolster or cushion, and a strap. Perhaps even a chair. But if you start with nothing but your willing heart, you can begin right there.
